Welcome back, November. It’s a blessing to see you once again.
You’re a month of transition, ushering in changes in time, weather, and even the mood around us. You remind us of the words in Ecclesiastes, “To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” November is that precious time, a season to slow down, to gather in gratitude, and to take stock of what truly matters.
As we prepare for Thanksgiving and the holidays ahead, let’s make a conscious choice to release some of the burdens we’ve carried. This year has been heavy, and I think we can all agree: we’re ready for some peace. We don’t have to engage in every debate or carry the weight of the world on our shoulders. Instead, let’s find comfort in knowing that God holds each season in His hands, even if we can’t always feel it.
Let’s keep it simple and practice KIND: Keeping It Nice Daily. Choose to be gentle with one another, not just with our family and friends, but with everyone we encounter—even online. Show empathy and kindness, and remember that not every opinion needs a response. Sometimes, it’s okay to just scroll on by, grateful for the freedoms we have, blessings that others may only dream of.
As the scripture so beautifully reminds us:
“There is a time to heal, a time to embrace, and a time for peace.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8)
So, November, we ask that you be gentle. Let this be a month of warmth, gratitude, and kindness—a time to come together and focus on what truly matters.
What’s one thing you’re thankful for today? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. Let’s share in the spirit of gratitude and lift each other up as we welcome this new season.
