December 15 ADVENT

The First Advent and the Second

Title: Whetting Our Appetites for the Second Advent

Opening Quote:
“We celebrate the First Advent to whet our appetites for the Second. We long for the next coming.” – Max Lucado

Hello, friends!
The First Advent is a glorious reminder of God’s faithfulness. Jesus came to us in humility, fulfilling promises made long ago. But as we celebrate this season, our hearts also long for His return—the Second Advent, when He will come in glory to make all things new.

Revelation 22:12 says, “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.”

Reflection:
How does the hope of Christ’s return shape the way you live today? What might you do differently if you lived with the anticipation of His coming?

Action:
Spend a few minutes in prayer, asking God to prepare your heart for both the celebration of His birth and the hope of His return.
