Breathing Christ into the World
Title: The Breath of Advent
Opening Quote:
“By his own will Christ was dependent on Mary during Advent: he was absolutely helpless; he could go nowhere but where she chose to take him… In the seasons of our Advent—waking, working, eating, sleeping, being—each breath is a breathing of Christ into the world.” – Caryll Houselander
Hi there!
Isn’t it humbling to think that during the First Advent, Christ chose to depend on Mary? This Advent season reminds us that just as Mary carried Christ into the world, we too are called to carry Him in our everyday lives.
Galatians 2:20 says, “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.”
Reflection:
How can you “breathe Christ into the world” today? In your words, actions, or even your silence, where can His love shine through you?
Action:
Take a moment to reflect on how your daily activities can be offerings of Christ’s love. Pick one action today—helping a neighbor, encouraging a friend, or showing kindness to a stranger—that shares His light.
