December 22: ADVENT

Title: Living with Hope This Advent

Opening Quote:
“Optimism and hope are radically different attitudes… The person of hope lives in the moment with the knowledge and trust that all of life is in good hands.” – Henri Nouwen

Hello!
Advent teaches us the difference between optimism and hope. Optimism looks for quick fixes, but hope trusts in God’s eternal promises.

Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Reflection:
What does hope look like in your life? How can you let go of fear and trust God’s promises?

Action:
Light a candle and spend time reflecting on what it means to live as a person of hope.
