When someone opens your Instagram page for the first time, what do they feel? Does your grid convey your story, your mission, and why they should care about what you do? Or is it a whirlwind of mismatched content that doesn’t truly reflect who you are?
Authenticity is more than a buzzword; it’s the bridge that connects you to your audience. People crave relatability over perfection. Yes, they may admire the glitz and glam of influencers, but what keeps them coming back is feeling understood, inspired, and seen.
For me, authenticity has been a necessity, not just a choice. I’m a chronically ill mother of two who can’t work outside the home. My journey began as a reseller, flipping items for profit, but I realized that my true joy lay in creating. Over time, handmade items became my focus—until even that became too much.
Now, as I enter my 50s, I’m rediscovering my spark through writing, encouraging others, and helping them succeed. I’m blending creativity with advocacy: showcasing products that simplify and organize life, promoting self-care and slowing down, and raising awareness about life with chronic illness. Because your life doesn’t end with chronic illness—it transforms.
My kids are learning resilience and resourcefulness by watching me. They’ve become an integral part of what I do, helping me in ways that teach them valuable life skills. My story is not just about what I sell but about who I am and what I stand for.
