Reflections of Twilight

In twilight's hush, the stillness speaks,
A ghostly tree in waters deep,
Its branches bare, a silent plea,
A testament to what once be.

Reflections dance in shades of blue,
A mirrored world, a tranquil hue,
The sky and lake, a canvas wide,
Where earth and heaven seem to glide.

Its twisted limbs, a history told,
Of seasons past, of tales of old,
Yet in its form, a quiet grace,
A timeless beauty in this place.

Beneath the surface, shadows play,
In whispered tones, they find their way,
Through roots that weave a secret song,
Of life and death, where they belong.

A solitary sentinel,
In this serene, enchanted dell,
It stands alone, yet ever free,
A symbol of eternity.
