December 2 ADVENT

Day 2: Recognizing God in the Present

Title: Seeing God in the Here and Now

Opening Quote:
“The Lord is coming, always coming. When you have ears to hear and eyes to see, you will recognize him at any moment of your life. Life is Advent; life is recognizing the coming of the Lord.” – Henri Nouwen

Hi there!
Today, let’s focus on now. Advent isn’t just about waiting for Christmas; it’s about seeing Jesus in our everyday lives. What if we lived each day like He could show up at any moment? Because the truth is, He does!

Matthew 24:42 reminds us, “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.” But keeping watch doesn’t mean standing still; it means looking for Him in the kindness of a stranger, the beauty of a sunset, or the peace of a quiet moment.

A challenge for today:
Pause for five minutes. Be still and ask God to show you His presence. Whether it’s in nature, a conversation, or a feeling of peace, look for Him today.

Advent reminds us that He is Emmanuel—God with us—right here, right now.
